I just watched the move "chef" , it was pretty good. Now I need the best Cuban sandwich in Fort Lauderdale.

I had one at work a few weeks ago from Broward Meat & Fish that was pretty awesome but I'm looking for something closer to the beach.

Try "Miyi La Cubanita" at the corner of Dixie Hwy & Sample Rd
Remember it's a walk up window, eat you food on picnic tables, but very good

The place attached to the gas station?!

  1. Are any of these authentic; done the right way?

Any Cuban style cafeteria should have a decent CUBAN sandwich.  Its all about the bread press and the papitas :)

I've had publix, yuck. Tried Las Vegas Cuban. No good. The others are so far from me.

It seems the place is called "shavedway" when I look it up and it's a 25 minute drive from the beach. I might as well drive to Miami instead of Margate.

I think that you should give in and drive to Miami.

    From this blog:

The best Cuban sandwich? Some will argue that Las Olas Café with its proximity to the beach and carefully sculpted Cubano sandwiches offers a great Cubano at a real bargain: less than $5. Others sing the praises of the Cubano at Enriqueta's Sandwich Shop, a funky dive with plastic seats and a lot of Formica. Still others vote for a long-time Little Havana mainstay: Morro Castle.

And here's a great article from Burger Beast that really breaks down all the different sandwich types.

I think he should drive to Tampa. They have great Cuban food too. Maybe you can move there too and get on their threads. You can ask about good food in the community and then ignore the suggestions. but feel the need to another county/city to get what you want. Obviously no one knows a good place inside your little box Tyler.
