Great village pub atmosphere. Beer - Marsden's Pedigree tasted very smooth. Sunday lunch was perfect. Prices were very reasonable for a higher priced village. This may become our local.

The Mount Pleasant Inn is a place you could easily miss, it is right on the fringe of Repton, on the road to Milton. It is an extremely popular place and apart from Sunday lunchtimes only opens in the evening at 6.00pm. Right from when it opens people seem to converge on the Mount Pleasant from miles around, so its a good idea to get there early, especially at the weekend. It is actually quite a large pub, but because of its popularity it fills up remarkably quickly. The Mount Pleasant serves mainly traditional home cooked English food, good wholesome food and very generous portions. Traditional seating on the whole, with more comfy sofa type seats around the edges, its a good place to have a relaxing drink. However, the Mount Pleasant is definitely a food orientated pub, nothing ground breaking, just good honest food. Famed for its chips!

Quite a busy country pub even though it's on the outskirts of this lovely village and somewhat difficult to find. The food is typical pub grub but cooked well, and they serve a traditional Sunday lunch.
Nice, well worth a visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Usuário do Qype (eshano…)Swadlincote, Reino Unido91802917 de jul. de 2010

Took the whole family for a meal at The Mount Pleasant pub. We were greeted by friendly staff and this warm welcome and friendly service continued throughout our meal. Our food was excellent and arrived within a short time of ordering and colouring was provided for the children which kept them entertained between courses. Try to look past previous negative comments as you cannot please everyone. This is a great traditional pub with great food and friendly service, well worth a visit.

visited for a meal on may/june bank hol, starter was butterfly prawns with dip and side salad, very nice, followed by the main meal of scampi chips and peas, very nice, went to order a dessert for my wife and i or should i say tried to,yet again in and around burton on trent and derby nobody really makes an attempt to take an order for a dessert waited a long time to try to order one without succsess,so we left,it seems to be a trait with all pubs and restuarants from derby to lichfield,we here all the excuses like we are busy or we are understaffed, come on you can serve a starter and a main but to busy to serve a dessert, anyway mount pleasant was the best yet the lady taking orders simply vanished, and so did we!!
