The Burlington Hotel

I have been too the Burlington hotel on and off for many years unfortunately the present owners seem to be clueless the service is awful & the ambiance dreadful . There seems to be a high turnover of staff which says a lot about the management. The balcony is filthy and not clean my view as a business owner is that if you look after your team and pay them well they will look after the business with loyalty and trust.

The room i stayed in was very nice, however, neon lights shining and flashing through the curtains ALL NIGHT!! And lots of noise from the hotels "nightclub". Could'nt settle down till around 3:00am. Receptionist seemed unbothered by my complaint and i was not offered any compensation of any kind, even a free drink would have been nice? They could also have turned off the light but i just got a blank stare from the barman, no receptionist on duty.
The food in the restaurant was ok but certainly not worth the huge price tag, 9 pounds for an all day breakfast that was pretty poor, rip-off.
As for the hotel, it claims to be quite a posh establishment but with mould and wallpaper falling off in most of the corridoors it seemed very seedy. huge difference between in the room and out. Overpriced bar, overpriced restaurant, overpriced hotel! Stay somewhere else! But if you have to, there are many pubs and restaurants nearby.
