Unless I do my bi-weekly shop at Asda, my weekly shop will involve going from store to store buying all the special offer stuff I can find. This branch of Tesco sits between being another lousy ready meal stacked city worker store and a proper supermarket. To be fair it is closer to being a supermarket with fresh produce and plenty of special offers on baked goods if you get there at the right time. You could do your entire weekly shop here, but if you want bargains on anything other than cake, you will need to go to a fully fledged supermarket.

Situated at the bottom of Holloway Rd, this is atypical of many of Tesco's stores in the area. However because it is a bit bigger than some of the others in the area it features a better selection of magazines, sandwiches and baked goods. This makes it a better option if you are just looking to grab a quick (but bland) sandwich. Everything else is as you would expect from Tesco - a reasonable selection of fruit/vegetables (though why do they sell their fresh herbs in smaller bags than every other supermarket?), an average (at best) wine selection and an assortment of meat.
This said, it can be a life saver and, to my joy two hours before a party was due to start, I discovered that it also stocks plastic wine glasses. Amazing! Consequently it has to be 3 stars all the way.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Helen M.Londres, Reino Unido042283513 de set. de 2008Primeira avaliação
Yet another new branch of Tesco! When I first went into this one I wondered how come such a lot of it's small space was allocated to fruit and veg. Then I found out there was more space further back. Then I found more space behind that Like a Tardis, it's a lot bigger inside than outside! As a result it has a really good range of stuff. And yes, that includes my favourite hazelnut yoghurts (own brand shallow tub, blue top not the expensive ones). It also gets into a good range of fruit and veg (of course) and stuff like ingredients for posh/ethnic cooking.
I would gladly swap it for my local TescoHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tracey W.Geneva, Suíça12165326314 de jul. de 2012Avaliação atualizada
A convenient mini Tesco located opposite Caledonian Road tube station with a basic range of ready meals and those items we always forget!
