Pizza Express

Went with the family yesterday. When trying to book 3 days in advance, they said they were fully booked. Thankfully, they did have space at 5.30pm (kid time).


I think it's been open 3 weeks now and I agree with the other reviewers, it got very busy from 7pm.


Service was a bit slow, however, we'll overlook this since the restaurant is still very new and there was a job advert on the door for more chefs. The paper and pens for the kids kept them very busy so they didn't notice.


As I've discovered elsewhere for Pizza Express, they've made a nod to the local community in the decor. In the Fleet branch this means that the walls are decorated with old posters from the Fleet carinval. Nice touch to remind you where you are ;-) when you're in a major restaurant chain. Can't say the same when I'm in other places.


The Pizza Express menu has got some new items now and I couldn't resist trying them; for starters I had little balls of risotto rice mixed with ham and peas. Delightfully tasty. For mains, there was a choice of dishes from an Italian chef called Theo. My wife and I each had one and they were excellent - mine had anchovies, peppers and a special smooth cheese. Presentation was a bit different because they came on baords instead of plates. Dessert was a small frozen nut and cream pot which was absolutely delicious.


I think this experience proves that Pizza Express keep doing the right things.

Very busy place especially on a Friday and Saturday night, but everyone loves pizza express. Expect the staff to be a bit slow as they are still learning but all were very attentive and very helpful. well priced menu even if we are eating out a bit less becuase of the credit crunch. Popular with families like myself, so if you dont like noise then maybe go in a bit later. As it has recently opened, the decor is great all new and looking in character with the Italian theme. Well worth a visit at some point.

This is a newly opened Pizza Express.
It is quite bright inside, the staff are great and the food is great.
Everything is brand new.

We've been going to Pizza Express in Fleet for 4 years, and it's as good today as it was the first time we went. They've just had a major revamp in both decor and menu, and prices have gone up, but all pizzas are still cooked fresh in front of you and remain the best from the pizza chains around us by a long chalk. We prefer the Romana bases (thin and crispy), and the only one I don't much like is the goat's cheese with onion marmalade too sweet for me.
The restaurant is usually busy in the evenings, and thanks to its open-plan and high ceilings, it can get a little noisy. So, if you want to chat, sit in the area to the left of the pizza chefs, and avoid the tables directly under the speakers!

Very light and bright with a definite buzz. Seemd really busy and the staff seemed a littel overwhelmed but that's understandable as it has only recently opened. I think it will find it hard to compete with all the other restaurants on the High Street. The prices are quite high and the menu choice is not as good as some of the other restaurants.

Waited so long for a Pizza Express near and now its on my doorstep very new .. pleasant interior and friendly staff although they are still learning. Best thing on menu is the Brochetta con Funghi ..wow its amazing enjoy tasty italian food in comfortable surroundings

Newly opened restaurant with a shiny interior is as you'd expect from a Pizza Express. It always seems to be packed at the moment, but not sure if it's because of the novely factor! You definitely should book in advance if you want to be sure of getting a table at a particular time at the weekend.


We had a good meal there, but there were loads of children and it was a Friday night, so I would recommend it more for a family meal than for couples.


The wine seemed more expensive than other Italian restaurants in Fleet.
