Kensal Green Station

Suddenly Kensal Green station hs changed. It is now part of the London underground, or London overground as they call the trains now. A once grim station, (stabbings, muggings etc) has been perked up with red and white paint and hanging baskets of red and white plstic flowers. Still freezing, and still with stairs that make your legs ache, but a nicer environment at least. Also, check out the classic music piped out at night, supposedly to keep the young thugs away...
Best pub near the station is The Masons Arms (the only pub really...) and as it is slap bang whallop across the road from the Millennium hostel, the station is very popular with backpackers. Also one of the few nearby stations you can get to the Notting Hill Carnival from.
