Just moved to Vienna from a furnished flat in Spain, so we were in need of things, things and more things. And what a great place to start than in Ikea? From entrance hall to garden they've got you covered on 2 MASSIVE floors. Guys beware: there is more stuff here than you can possibly look at!
But if there is such a thing as a positive criticism it would be that there is soooo much to chose from. A great place to get anything you want for the home.
Large, spacious and easily reached from the centre of Vienna. Take the U1 (red line) to Kagranerplatz station, exit right and take the 24A bus, it drops you outside Aldi and then its just over the road.
Reasonably priced as per usual.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 957136472712 de nov. de 2010
My second Ikea experience was in Wien !! My parents had just moved from South America to Austria, and were adjusting to having less space. While searching for functional furniture for the new digs, we decided to pay Ikea a visit and wow... solutions, solutions, solutions.
We ended up picking up a nice living room set, and a bedroom set.
No rack on the car ? No problem, everything is packed so it can be easily transported and they will also provide materials for a makeshift, yet secure rack on top of your car to carry your items.
Ikea rocks !! in Vienna, in Paris, in Chicago, and in Miami !!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michelle M.Viena, Áustria1421359659 de ago. de 2015
Cheap furniture. Easy layout (complete with arrows to lead you around the show room). Clean environment. Swedish meatballs. And has AC (which is really nice for the summer!) me and the hubs found a bunch of stuff that would meet our needs at our new flat for pretty inexpensively. Definitely highly recommend, but make sure you have the time for it. There's a lot to see.
Also. To get here take U1 to Kagraner Platz, and as you walk out of the U1 look for the 24A bus. It will take you right to IKEA (also recommend using the Qando app, it will help guide you there.) Happy shopping!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Damon B.Viena, Áustria3530590226 de fev. de 2013
Vienna is one of the few cities that has two IKEA stores, and both are very good.
My personal opinion is that this one is not as big as the other one but of course they still have all the same products, prices and service.
I actually do my IKEA shopping at this one as it is closer to my home and easier for me to get the stuff home again.
Therefore i am very happy to have the choice between the two of them.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Andy F.Londres, Reino Unido25714846726 de nov. de 2013
IKEA Nord is convenient, cheap, and... well... Swedish!
If you've never been to an IKEA before, get out from under that rock, throw out all of your old furniture, and spend a day in this Swedish furniture mecca transforming your flat into a stylish marvel (some assembly required).
If you live on this side of the city, IKEA Nord is easier to get to than the SCS one. I know the SCS one will be bigger once their renovations are done, but while the construction is ongoing, I like to shop at the Nord location as the departments aren't always shifting around.
Pick up a hotdog or some Swedish meatballs while you're there and if you sign up for their IKEA Family club, you get free coffee and other benefits.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Weronika M.Wrocław, Polônia2731881 de fev. de 2014
I absolutely love IKEA. There is always something cool to buy for my house. Bit overcrowded on Saturdays, but that only confirms that everybody loves IKEA.
The IKEA FAMILY card can store your bills so whenever you want to return unused items you don't have to worry about finding original receipt. It's all stored on your card.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marc S.Viena, Áustria98306213 de mai. de 2014
Classic ikea as any where. Go with excitement, eat meat balls, get more than you planned and regret when leaving. The bus trip from kagran and ikea very packed.

It's an IKEA which is to say pretty standard style and range. Sometimes it takes a while to find someone to help but once done, they are friendly and try to help. Cheap hotdogs at the stand outside.

yeah, you can always, always find something at IKEA, even if you only need ONE thing you gonna come out with bags full of things ;) the restaurant, yeah, its ok, but often the food can be really dry and also cold :( but the meatballs are always a treat, not as good as homemade ones of course but still pretty decent
