House of Intuition - Los Angeles

It took me a few various HOIs to get here because the place looked extremely camouflaged into its surroundings. I had a difficult time locating this place.

Staff was very welcoming here~He gave me his business card and told me they own a few more Crystal Shops in just the Los Angeles, CA area alone. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place nor posted pics....I had them somewhere in my camera roll....relative pics will be added later.

I located free street parking so was very convenient about that part of the local tourist trip.

The service is always welcoming and helpful. I love their incense so much. However, if you're looking for the real deal botanica. This is not it. If it doesn't feel like I walked through the veil. I don't want it. The cost of the candles alone it's ridiculous. But they are aesthetically pleasing. But if you're looking for the real deal. You gotta go to where the olde ways reside. If you know. You know. This place is bougie and a cute tourist trap. However, I will go back for the incense. They smell amazing

A+++++ CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I ordered a few items for a wedding not realizing there wasn't expedited shipping, as I didn't plan well and was gift shopping at the last minute. I emailed HOI explaing the situation and asked if there was any chance they could put my order at the top of the list to ensure that these magic stones made it to my friends on time. To my surprise, they responded right away and got them in the mail before I had even gotten home from work to check my email. They were very nice, and, most importantly, the package arrived exactly on time. THANK YOU HOI! :)

House of intuition is known to have quality crystals and my absolute favorite is getting readings from Ryan. He is such a loving soul and and puts even the harshest information in a loving way and eases your pain when going through it. His guidance is truly appreciated.

You won't know for a fact until you visit! Staff is friendly and when booking appointment, you are seen right on time.

I come here quite often as they are down the street from my job. I love it here! I can never leave without spending more than want. lol That should say enough. I come here for spiritual birthday gifts for the special people in my life.

Very cool house. It really is like a house. It's in a residential neighborhood in Echo Park and you enter this fabulous house converted into a retail space. It's very spacious with several rooms, some of them private for readings. HOI has everything for your spiritual needs from books, crystals, Sage, candles, incense, oils and so much more. Beautiful jewelry too. Wonderful candle collection. There are Zodiac candles and also candles to help set your intentions and attract abundance, for example. I saw some Major Arcana tarot related candles too.

They are diligent about safety. Only 3 people allowed in the store at a time. Everyone is in masks and they ask you to use hand sanitizer as you enter. If you are planning on going during a peak time, be prepared to wait a little bit. I went today on Halloween/Saturday and it was really busy. They have plenty of space outside where you can distance safely while you wait. I waited about 45 minutes but I brought a book.

I found free street parking really easily.

I really enjoyed my time here today and I'll definitely return.

This experience happened about a year ago but when I think about it I am still angry. Hopefully this review should give closure and help customers and the owners.

I am a huge fan of the House of Intuition online store. I love the candles and I was so excited to visit this store while on vacation. But I was followed around the whole time.

I am Black and was the only customer there. I told them a few times that I didn't need help and that if I did, I would let them know. Since one guy kept following me, I spoke to him about the candles and he told me that he didn't believe in their power and that he makes his own candles. It was odd to not endorse the stuff the store sells. And it dampened my excitement. I still bought my items, but I wanted more time to think about buying a grimoire-type journal there. After my purchase, I told them I was going to see more of the area outside, and would likely come back in.

I went outside for like 5 min, I was still in front of the store, and decided to buy the journal. When I got back in, the guy at the store was smudging the store with sage! Incredibly rude and it felt racist. I was only kind and bought more than $100 worth of merchandise. They knew I was coming back soon so it felt performative.

I have no idea if he still works there or not, but I hope he doesn't because it will only hurt the reputation of this store.

When I got home I decided to smudge all of the materials I bought to get his energy off of it.

This may be my favorite crystals, manifestation candles, and overall spiritual store in LA! Everything from the entrance of this place to the fully-stocked items perfectly placed on display really sets the tone when you enter.

There was incense burning (not overbearing) and different sections or "rooms" - one filled with spiritual books, tarot cards, and other similar goodies. OMG, there is a witchcraft book that I truly contemplated on getting lol (photo attached.) Another room full of candles and obviously, the first room is full of beautiful crystals of all sorts and sizes.

I picked up a pretty goldstone ring that I'm currently wearing right now and very happy with my purchase. The ladies that were working here are helpful, but also allow you to go at your own pace in the store and are not rushing you - which has been my experience in some places.

I parked in the neighborhood and found a spot almost immediately. The only downfall for this shop would be parking... But I'm telling yall that it is worth the trip!

When I first walked in, the whole place smelled amazing! Of course it's all the safe, candles, and incense.

Yes, there are a ton of shops in LA that sell similar things, but I liked how organized and creative they were.

Candles catered to your zodiac sign?! I loved that idea. Money candles? I got the money candle and it smells SO bomb. I've been trying not to burn it all day since I want it to last, ha!

It is a bit pricey, but that's all shops similar to these in LA.

I will most likely be returning. There is street parking and they do limit the amount of people who come in due to Covid.

The guy who was there was friendly. He asked if I needed help as soon as I walked in.
