The service here is excellent. You are immediately seated (though this is obviously easy for them to do as it is rarely full) and your drink order taken.

There are complimentary prawn crackers on the table to allow you to satiate your appetite before your food arrives. Not that it takes long. The service is exceedingly fast.

The food itself is a little disappointing. The rice is a little stodgy at times (I've been there numerous times and it does vary). The vegetarian dishes are sometimes a little too bean-sprout-orientated too. However, it is comforting food, perfect for filling you up.

With regards to the take away service, the delivery of food is also very quick, and also lovely and hot.

I've put that the cost of the meal is cheap because it is quite cheap when you just order a main and a rice dish. However, it does add up pretty fast if you have other sides or starters.

(Also, this restaurant appears to be under the 'Ethiopian' category... it is not Ethiopian food...)

I've only ever used the take away option when I'm feeling lazy and hungry. I have to agree the service is very quick, makes me wonder how they do it? They always seem a bit sweaty and panty at the the door so they must of ran I guess.

The food is really tasty and exceeds it's reasonable price tag by far.

Unfortunately I have never really had the money to justify sitting in the restaurant part of this Chinese establishment, with very few coins, I have just about managed to treat myself to the take away option.

There are some comfy seats to await your dishes, however this place is small and can get a little cramped especially on a weekend. I have never really had to wait that long for my order, even when it has been really busy.

The food is lovely, can't really fault it. I love the battered sweet and sour chicken with rice, quite the stomach filler. The prices are moderate, nothing too bank breaking.

The decor is well, chinese, naturally, there are also some lovely plastic plants to observe while you wait also. A very good chinese take away indeed, I should aim to try the restaurant one day and will keep you updated.

Fortune House was once my Chinese takeaway of choice, but I'm not entirely sure why. I think it's because they are one of the few Chinese restaurants that offer a delivery service and God knows my roommate and I were (and still are) a lazy pair of ladies.

The food here is pretty good, and it certainly satisfies any greasy Chinese food cravings, but I've got to admit most of their items don't blow my skirt up.

However, the menu is expansive and will suit a range of tastes, even those veggies who are a bit finicky (I know this because my beloved belongs to the former category).

If you're ordering a takeaway, I'd advise against selecting the spring rolls - they arrive a bit soggy which defeats the purpose of a hot and crunchy delicacy, if you ask me.

What a GREAT restaurant! We regularly eat at this fantastic Chinese restaurant because the food is excellent, the price is just right, the place is clean and freshly decorated, and the staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient.
What more can I say. Go along and see for yourself. Their take-aways are also extremely good quality.

Whenever we order chinese, we order from here, theres no point trying anywhere else as all we do moan and compare it to fortune house!


The food is full of flavour and they use good quality meat and seafood. We've eaten in the restaurant aswell where they do a 'all you can eat' for £16.50 per person (cheaper for kids). Its not buffet style, but you can say "one of eveything" and thats what you'll get! we live a short walk away and struggle to waddle home afterwards!

作为一个中国人！千万别来！吃一次不想来第二次！as a Chinese, the dishes here is awful! Terrible! Maybe u foreign people like it. But it isn't real Chinese food!

we have used this takeaway every time we fancy Chinese but the last few times we have been disappointed the prices have gone up and the portions smaller and the chips are not fully cooked sad to say we will not be using this takeaway again
