Stayed here for 5 nights and the fire alarm went off 3 times during my stay. Was terrifying to be woken up by that sound and not know what was going on. The staff didn't bother to call and notify us of why the alarm was going off. I tried calling the front desk but no one picked up. When we checked out I asked what happened and the front desk clerk said "an Italian women took a long shower and the steam filled up her room and caused the alarm to go off."
Also, their coffee was cold. I've stayed in way better accommodations for less.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karoline S.Wharton, Estados Unidos10151126 de jul. de 2017
Room was great- awesome shower pressure (soap included). Air conditioning worked well and window available to open. Free wifi with good speed too! Breakfast was filling(latte machine, hot foods, juice, cereal, etc) and staff very accommodating! Would definitely stay here again.

To start, I'm not 100% sure of the price here because I bought a group package so my review will be based of general experience without price considered.
To start, the location of this place is not in central London, but it is about a two minute walk from a tube therefore it is super easy to get around. The line is in the second zone meaning you will pay a little extra for your daily pass, but it's not bad. There is also a Tesco Express right across the street which came in handy. Not much else in the area, a couple cool pubs, but, like I said, the tube is easy to get you around.
In regards to the rooms, they are a little on the small side. My friend and I had a double bed and a couch in our room. My friend actually slept on the couch because the bed did seem a little on the small side for two people to use. My other downside to this place: I found the comforter too hot so I pulled back to sheets to sleep with those, and the mattress cover wasn't too pretty so I put the cover back and used the comforter again.
Everyone in our group was super confused with the lights and thought we had no electricity, but you just needed to put your room key into a source near the door (just thought I'd mention that so no one else pees in the dark, lol).
They have a public access computer which is a pretty decent price. The phone was really expensive but they have a pay phone in the lobby. The service here is also exceptional! Our group of 26 that went were treated very well. Seriously, 5 star customer service. The food for breakfast was also quite tasty.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jason L.Houston, Estados Unidos421814 de jan. de 2009
Great hotel for West London. Rooms are small like all rooms in London for this same price range. Very clean and comfortable. The wifi didnt work for the first few days I was there, but it was fixed and worked until I left. This hotel is right next to North Acton tube station(Central Line). Easy access off and on. Great location. Takes less then 20 minutes to get into Central London.
Free breakfast every morning. Everything you really need. Yogurts, fruit, cereal, breads, juice, coffee, milk. They aslo have a dinner menu, but I never tried it. I did see people eating dinner and it looked good. They have a full bar in the lobby area as well.
This hotel will make any American feel safe and comfortable for a good price in London. I paid $100 a night in the low season. Thats hard to beat. If you want an American sized hotel room located in Central London, then you are going to pay upwards of $200-250 a night.
Stay here and save money.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristine W.Seattle, Estados Unidos12766215827 de set. de 2011
This was the most decent hotel we could get for our price range.
Though the hotel itself was ok, it's about 30 mins outside London City center via tube. Though it's convenient to the Tube, the stop is a one min walk if that. There's a free breakfast which is nice and it's not just cereal. There's yogurt, fruit, sausage, croissants and toast. The size of the room is decent, we had a queen bed (which was comfy) and a pullout couch. The bathroom is also decent with good water pressure and a detachable shower head.
Not bad for the price, but if you need to be in the city center, this isn't your spot. However, if you can mind the 30 min or more tube ride, then check this place out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kira T.Seattle, Estados Unidos382127812 de dez. de 2013
As I said on TripAdvisor (do I have to disclose that? I think I do) this place is:
Steps from the North Acton tube stop on the Central Line, this Holiday Inn Express is amazing value for money.
We got an amazing rate of $100/night - which included a comfortable lobby with bar and dining area, very welcoming and helpful staff, and a spotlessly clean room with lovely linens on a comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Flat screen TV, in-room kettle and coffee/tea, nice shower with plenty of hot water. No closet, but a smart arrangement of shelving and hangers worked perfectly for storage. A good-sized desk and a comfy two-seater sofa completed the furnishings. Our room was at the back and we could see the tube going by, but the double window made sure we could barely hear it. We slept very soundly!
The Wi-Fi is free and the connection was reliable, if sometimes just a tad slow. A quibble, basically. There's also a computer in the lobby if you didn't bring your own.
The free breakfast is EXCELLENT and adds a ton of value to an already great deal. Choose from fresh apple or orange juice, tea or coffee (neat new machines make cappuccino, etc., at the touch of a button!), yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, beans, sausages, toast (white or wheat), rolls, croissants, pain au chocolat, and four or five kinds of cold cereal (from chocolate buds to high-quality muesli) with whole or reduced-fat milk. In pricey London, being able to fill up in the morning saves a LOT of money.
And don't worry about being "out of the center" of town. It's 15-20 minutes on the tube to the white hot center of all the tourist attractions, which is a small price to pay for getting such a great rate on a room. It's extremely easy to navigate, to, as well - and is on the dividing line between Zones 1 and 2.
For budget hunters, note that on the same block as the hotel are a Domino's Pizza - cheap, hot, and filling - and a Tesco Express where you can get sandwiches, crisps, four-packs of lager, fresh veggies and salads, cheese, meats and sandwich bread, cup o' soups, etc. for low, low prices.
There's also a burger/curry/kebab joint on the next block, which we did not try, and a Fuller's pub - the Castle - that serves pub grub. It's more of a local boozer than a refined and quaint "ye olde" kind of place, but it's friendly and the beer is fresh and the décor is super-cozy with dark wood and deep easy chairs and lots and lots of white pillar candles.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy W.Leyland, Reino Unido26471620 de nov. de 2008
The Express by Holiday Inn is close to North Acton tube station and an ideal place to stay when travelling in london. Just park the car in the hotel car park (only 8 or so parking spaces) and you can get anywhere in the london area via the tube.
The hotel is modern comfortable and each room offers a decent bed, TV, tea making facilities and the usual shower/wc facilities.
It only offers continental breakfast but there are plent of places to eat in the surrounding areas - you just have to venture out!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shannon W.Portland, Estados Unidos02217 de jul. de 2015
Convenient location if you're looking to stay a bit out of town. The tube station is just behind the hotel. The neighborhood seems safe, but uninteresting. There is a grocery store and to coffee shops across the street but that's it. There is a nice pub on the corner, called the castle that has good food and friendly staff. However, the room was very small, the carpet was old and stained. Breakfast (free) was just ok (eggs, a few pastries, cereal), but not fresh - mostly processed foods. This is a basic hotel that will get the job done. But it won't create any memories.

It isn't bad. The main problem is the distance to downtown, but prices are quite reasonable considering that wifi and breakfast are included. Breakfast is quite good and rooms are nice and comfortable.
